The Houston Texans face off against the Ind Colts at home today in what should be a great matchup. The Texans are coming off a fresh 28-23 victory over the Tenn Titans and look to get another win under their belt. This will be the first user to user meeting this year between the Texans and the Colts. There was a glitch in the matrix that allowed a sim game to transpire. Not to worry Team Andro says...."We are ready to play and expect a full house." "If we do what we are capable of doing we will get the win. In fact here are the keys to the game.
1. The Texans must continue to keep the Colts off balanced when they are on offense by using multiple sets and mixing up the run/pass calls. We have a fairly good understanding on the colts schemes and personel. Which is mostly a cover 2 mixed with some solid zone blitzing.
2. We must protect the football. That means no fumbles and no interceptions. Last time on the field we did a good job in this area. It must continue for added success. The Colts hit hard so we will be smart and take what the defense gives us rather than fight for extra yards and risk fumbles.
3. We must pressure Manning and get in the face of his receivers. If they catch the ball we must make them pay with the big hit and try to jar the ball loose.
4. We must get the ball to our playmakers and let them do their thing. That means Pat White, Grimes, Mitchell and Kasey must show up big time on offense and my cast of unkowns on defense must step up and deliver big plays.
Thats about it. If we execute we will win. We will have post game later tonight.
P.S. Yeah, we read all the game logs and reports in the ACQB threads... All I can say at this point is Hide the women and children this will be an all out war!
